Sweet Pea

A little love this Thursday morning for our happy and cheerful seven month old. Margaret is drinking all by herself from her sippy cup and loves any type of fruit. This week I made more baby food, but she has turned her nose up to it. So guess I'm going back to the Gerber stage 2!

We are officially on the countdown to starting at Eastminster and I am excited about this new journey.

Full of Life!

Margaret is seven months and full of life more than ever. Her big personality is starting to come out. She smiles a lot, maybe because I smile a lot at her (or at least I'm hoping that's why), but for the most part, she seems to be content and taking in EVERYTHING.

I pray she's the type of gal that looks at the world and says what can I do for you and how can I make it better? I want her to be a glass full type of girl, not half way full, but completely full!

She recently started babbling, making sounds, sticking her tongue to her lips like she wants to talk. I love watching this. She stops and listens to me when I talk to her. I imagine she's trying to say back "Mama, why are you always talking?!" I've read it's important to talk to your babies from day one, tell them what you're doing, ask them how their day was, tell them about your day, and always keep your conversations positive, as they can sense when trouble is around.

She's sitting up now, all by herself. When I find myself playing with her on the floor, I often just stop and stare. I'm amazed at how much she has learned over the course of seven months. How can her small teenie brain take in so much information? She is seven months... a mere baby... it's such a miracle.

On top of sitting up, she experienced her first high chair evening this past Friday. We were quite amused because the entire time her head was turned flirting with the nine month old little boy across the restaurant. (insert monkey with hands over eyes emojoi). She loves nursery at church too. The families and high school girls always tell me how  playful she is with the other babies. This makes me more confident in our decision to send her to EDS in August.

Everyday I try to incorporate something new that Margaret hasn't experienced. Whether it's a new book, new food, new activity or a new song, I just want her to constantly grow. I also pray with her a night before I put her down. I've told her about Jesus and how much he loves us. Hopefully one day she will know and feel his love.

Seven Month Update

My Angel, Margaret at seven months
7.10.2016

At seven months a lot has changed over the past four weeks. She can now sit up on her own, she is holding her bottle and feeding herself, goes all day sleeping with nothing but her onesie on. She still sleeps in her magic merlin sleep suit at night, I just can't break it from her! She is babbling all the time, loves to answer questions in the form of her own communication. She is sleeping throughout the night still, takes 2  naps a day, (morning and afternoon), sometimes a little cat nap about two hours before bed. She loves the pool and enjoys kicking her feet and moving her arms in the water. She accidently put her face in the water and was a little taken back by the thrill of it. We enjoy our morning time together by sitting on the front porch, swinging in her swing, going for walks or just reading on her play mat. I give her four bottles a day with three solid feeds, and just started making some of her food myself. I've been a fan of the Gerber food's but got the courage up to make her own food the other day. We will see where this goes!

Freedom and A Milestone

This year's freedom day meant a little more to me than it normally has in years past. Margaret, our only child right now, has changed my life, my heart and my view on this world. Freedom means more to me now, and I am thankful we have the freedom of choices. Charlie and I have the freedom to raise our child in a free world. We are thankful to live in the U.S.A and are thankful that we can worship and believe whatever we chose.

Margret continues to amaze me with her new developments each day. She is very keen on her surroundings, and loves when Charlie and I are present.

For the Holiday weekend, we enjoyed a week long vacation with the Couch's in North Myrtle Beach, celebrating Polly's 60th birthday (A BIG MILESTONE) and time with family. We ended the Holiday weekend with a quick trip to Mooresville to visit my family and spent time on Lake Norman.
