Miss Clara

Miss Clara Elizabeth is celebrating 6 weeks today. I have enjoyed holding her, feeding her, and learning to swaddle her. Ejoye has taught me so much over the past 6 weeks, that I feel I am some what ready to meet Miss Mimms!

I am so happy our precious girls will be 6 months apart, as I know Clara will teach Baby Mimms lots words and will be a blessing of a friend.

Below are a few pics of last nights dinner at the Weathers. Baby Ward Davis and Baby Mimms are right around two weeks apart! I wonder if they will stay that way??

The past month

The past month has been quite a rollercoaster for Charlie and me. Charlie started a new Men's Bible Study called 10 Righteous Men. He embarked on an overnight study a few weeks ago, and came back super sore from his 10 mile hike!

I have been traveling a lot for work lately, and I am getting geared up to help with our Church's Senior High Girls Bible Study starting on Tuesday evenings. I'm excited to be one of the four leaders, as we are studying one of my favorite women evangelist, Elizabeth George. I am currently reading several of her books called "A Woman's High Calling, and "A Mom After Gods Own Heart." I learned of Elizabeth last year during my Adult Women's Bible Study on Sunday evenings, and have since fallen in love with her wisdom, guidance and delivery on being a Godly woman, wife and mother.

I have been praying more and more lately, thanking the Good Lord that Charlie is not sick. We had a scare the week before last, as he was having severe chest pain. After 5 grueling days of anxiety and anxiousness, he has been cleared of any coronary artery disease or heart disease. I have never in my life felt so weak and scared. He ultimately ended up having a Heart Cath last Monday, but the wonderful Cardiologist at Columbia Heart said he had the heart and arteries of a teenager. When the doctor came out of surgery, looking for Mrs. Mimms, tears flowed from my face when the doctor said that about his heart! I am beyond thankful!!

This past weekend we enjoyed spending time with a few of our friends, cooked out, went to Soda City Farmers Market (it's quite unbelievable now), so many vendors! A must try if you haven't been in a while, and we worked on the nursery!

Below are a few pictures of the nursery, we still have a ways to go!  I hope she likes pink, like her Mama does because these drapes are PINK! I am also 25 weeks this week! Doesn't seem like it, but definitely no hiding it now.
