Easter has always been a very special time for our families.
Charlie’s family, especially his Grandmother, Gan, are very strong Christians.
Charlie grew up in a small church outside of Bishopville, called St. Luke's Methodist in Elliott, SC. I grew up in a Presbyterian Church in Mooresville, NC, where
the Lyerly clan has been going for years. I do love a small church where
everyone knows you by name and you are noticed in your absence.
On Easter Sunday, the Mimms’ crew packed up and went to St.
Luke’s Methodist Church in Elliott, SC. The church is so small there isn’t even
a choir,but the quaint church is so beautiful and so peaceful, it’s like the
Lord is sitting there worshipping with us.
We had a wonderful weekend with family. My parents came and
stayed in Bishopville on Saturday night. Polly fixed a wonderful meal both
Saturday and Sunday. I love his big family, and look forward to adding to the
numbers one day!
