Our sweet little angel is 3 Months!

Miss Margaret turned 3 months old on March 10th, the same day I left to go to Seabrook for girls weekend. I had MIXED emotions about girls weekend, as I was looking forward to seeing each one of my dearest friends, but I was also a little blue because I had just started back work and my time is precious with my little angel. I try to cherish every second.

However, I had a wonderful time in Seabrook, spent two nights with the girls, but cut the trip short, so I could be home Saturday evening to enjoy the evening routine and a fun dinner out with my little family.

3 month update:
Loves to sing, coo, giggle, and SMILE!
Loves her daddy and me! Especially knows our voices.
Sleeping in the miracle sleep suit, swaddle is officially gone!
Sleeping from 8:30ish/pm until 6:30ish/am.
Feeding 3x per day, wake up, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 4:45pm and 7:45pm. Still following Moms-on-Call schedule.
Loves her spa treatment - aka bath time.
Loves being outside. Absolutely, LOVES being outside.
Loves to put ANYTHING in her mouth.
LOVES TO BE HELD. ALL THE TIME. But I admit, I can't put her down.

What I love the most:
  • Her smiling back at us, knowing our voices, singing to me, and her in a basic onesie. We have so many clothes, but I honestly love her in a carters onesie. She is the cutest!
  • Her miracle sleep suit. She looks like the Michelin man in it.
  • Every morning and every evening - the time I get to spend with her.
  • Love taking her for a run. She is content - looking up at the trees and listening to the birds.
  • Love taking her to church and showing her off.
  • Love dressing her in old vintage clothing.
  • Love when Charlie is home, and its just the 3 of us. Every second is heaven on earth.
Below are pictures from the past 3 weeks.

11 Weeks & Back to Work!

Margaret is 11 weeks and will be 12 weeks this Thursday. She has changed so much over the past two weeks. She is busting out of her swaddle, so its time to drop it. I've read so many things about how to properly drop the swaddle, so we are embarking on the dreaded swaddle drop this week. I am having Nanny Dorothy (I'll write a post about her soon) drop it for naps this week and our plan is to take it away at night starting Wednesday or Thursday, if not sooner.

This week:
  • She still loves sucking her hands.
  • She is laying on the boppy propped up on her stomach, perfect access to her hands!
  • Loves to be held, loves kisses and bath time.
  • Loves sitting on the front porch, going for walks, being read too.
  • She is sleeping through the night (Consists of going to bed around 8:30pm and waking up around 5:45am. She should be sleeping till about 7am, but she is getting out of swaddle and its waking her up).
When she smiles back at us, I just melt. I know she knows us and knows our voices. This weekend, when Charlie and I were in Charleston for a quick little getaway, I did face time with her and she smiled when she heard my voice. I don't think she could see me on the phone, but I knew she heard my voice.

We have a busy March/April coming up! Margaret's 3 month, My 3-0th bday, our 3 year anniversary, girls weekend to Seabrook, Easter and her Baptism! Come on spring, we can't wait for all the memories!

Margaret's Sip & See!!

Sweet Lala hosted Margaret's Bishopville Sip & See a few weeks ago! We had a great time getting Margaret ready for this special event. We planned it exactly during her nap time, so she would be quiet as a mouse! And boy was she super sweet. We even swaddled her for her big debut! Sorry ladies, she loves the swaddle! Below are a few pictures! We had such a great afternoon, Lala! Thank you!
