O-N-E!

Margaret turned the BIG O-N-E this past Saturday. It was a whirlwind weekend trying to get ready for her party and juggle other commitments, but as I laid my head down last night to reminisce, I finally felt the rush of emotions I think most new mamas feel when their baby turns one. I spent over an hour on my phone thumbing through a years worth of photos, but what really caught me off guard, as tears rolled down my face, was the first several photos we took of her. Charlie did an awesome job when she was first born and recorded a few videos of her, which I have cherished and have saved in several locations.

Margaret's first birthday party was very simple. I made all the food with the help of my Mama and Charlie's mom, a friend from work made her invitation, and the cake (pictured below) mimicked the invitation perfectly. I wanted her party to be simple, and fun, and I think I accomplished just that! (Well at least I had a great time.) Despite the cooler temperatures, a lot of our guest enjoyed the outdoors, which left some room for the babies to crawl around inside. 

I had my camera with me most of the time, but as always, I get to talking and forget to get pictures. I do have a few photos (below) to record her special day.
